How bookmakers are scored

Every site in the ranking gets one number out of 100, the BB Score. It is not a gut feeling: each month four things are checked, each gets a mark from 0 to 100, and the marks are added up by importance.

Method last changed: October 2026 · Responsible editor: Mahmudullah Jayed

At a glance

  • Every bookmaker is tested with a real account and real money: deposit, bet, withdrawal.
  • Four criteria, each marked from 0 to 100 by the same fixed rules, add up to the BB Score.
  • Withdrawal speed weighs most, because a bonus means nothing if the money does not come back.
  • Bookmakers cannot pay for a score or a place, and every review shows when it was last checked.

In 30 seconds

  1. Step 1

    Check

A site must pass 5 basic checks. If it fails one, it is not ranked at all.

  2. Step 2

    Measure

Four things are measured: withdrawal speed, stars and complaints, real bonus value and cricket margin. Each gets a mark from 0 to 100 by fixed rules.

  3. Step 3

    Add up

The four marks are combined by importance, then penalties are taken off. That gives the score.

How each bookmaker is tested

The marks in Step 2 come from the same hands-on routine for every site. Nothing is copied from the bookmaker’s own marketing.

  1. Step 1

    Open a real account

Registration in BDT with a Bangladeshi phone number, noting how long verification takes.

  2. Step 2

    Deposit ৳1,000

Through bKash, Nagad or Rocket, the way readers would pay.

  3. Step 3

    Bet on cricket

Pre-match and live bets on BPL, IPL or ICC matches, plus a look at the bonus terms.

  4. Step 4

    Withdraw and time it

A withdrawal request back to the same wallet, timed from request to money arriving.

  5. Step 5

    Record the odds

Match-winner odds on the same 10 cricket matches as every other site, to compare margins.

  6. Step 6

    Score and recheck

Marks are entered by the fixed rules and rechecked every month, or sooner if terms change.

Step 1. The entry check

These are must-haves, not points. A big bonus cannot make up for a missing one.

  • Account in Taka (BDT) — no conversion fees on every deposit.
  • Local payment methods — work for both deposits and withdrawals.
  • Bengali or English support — on the site or in live chat.
  • A licence that can be checked — with the regulator’s own register.
  • No blacklist record — no confirmed unpaid winnings.

Step 2. Four things that are measured

1. ৳1,000 test

up to 40 points

What is checked: a real account is opened, ৳1,000 is deposited, a bet is placed and the money is withdrawn.

How the mark is given: only one thing counts: how fast the money comes back, using the table below.

Money arrived inMark for speed
1 hour or less100
Up to 3 hours95
Up to 6 hours85
Up to 12 hours70
Up to 24 hours50
Up to 3 days20
Longer0 + penalty

Why: a bonus or good odds mean nothing if you cannot get your money out. That is why it weighs most.

2. Players & reputation

up to 25 points

What is checked: star ratings from readers and the complaints sent about the site. One review per account counts; anything older than 12 months drops out.

How the mark is given:

  • Half: the average star rating (1 star = 0, 5 stars = 100).
  • Half: the share of complaints the site actually solved (9 of 10 = 90).

Why: one month of testing can miss problems that hundreds of players notice. One unsolved complaint says more than ten 5-star reviews.

3. Real bonus value

up to 20 points

What is checked: the big headline (“up to ৳25,000”) is ignored. Instead the real value of the bonus on a typical ৳2,000 deposit is worked out after its rules.

Example

You deposit ৳2,000 and get a ৳2,000 bonus.

To withdraw it, you must first bet ৳10,000 (the wagering rule).

On ৳10,000 of bets the bookmaker’s margin costs about ৳360 on average.

Real value ≈ ৳1,640, not ৳2,000.

How the mark is given: the real value as a share of the deposit: a real value of 100% of the deposit or more = 100.

Why: a smaller bonus with easy rules is often worth more than a huge one with hard rules.

4. Cricket odds

up to 15 points

What is checked: the same 10 BPL, IPL and ICC matches are taken for every site and the odds are recorded 2 hours before the start.

What “margin” means

If two teams are equally strong, fair odds would be 2.00 on each.

A bookmaker adds its cut, so it offers about 1.90 instead: that cut is the margin.

Lower margin = you are paid more for the same winning bet.

How the mark is given: margin of 4% or lower = 100, 7% = 50, 10% or higher = 0.

Why: differences between good sites are small and matter mostly to people who bet often, so this part weighs least.

Step 3. Adding it up

Think of 100 points split into four parts. Each mark from Step 2 decides how much of its part a site gets: a mark of 90 on the payout test gives 90% of its 40 points.

Example: how Babu88 got 88

Who scores the bookmakers

Mahmudullah Jayed

All scores are given by chief editor Mahmudullah Jayed, a Bangladeshi sports journalist who has reviewed betting sites for years. His name and the date of the last check appear on every review.

The rules on this page are public and identical for every bookmaker. If a site improves or gets worse, its marks change by the same rules, and the arrows in the ranking show the movement.

How often it changes

The payout test and the odds check are repeated every month. Player marks update as new reviews arrive. The arrows next to each site in the ranking show how its place changed since last month.

Questions about the score

Can a bookmaker pay for a better score?

No. Scores come only from the measurements on this page. Affiliate commissions never change a mark, a place in the ranking or what a review says.

Why does withdrawal speed count for 40%?

Because getting paid is what matters most to a player. A big bonus or good odds are worth little if a withdrawal takes days or gets stuck.

Why is a big headline bonus not enough for a high mark?

Only the real value after the wagering rules counts. A smaller bonus with easy rules is often worth more than a large one with heavy rollover.

How often do scores change?

The tests are repeated every month. A score can also change sooner if a bookmaker changes its terms, its payments or its licence.

What happens if a bookmaker fails an entry check?

It is not ranked at all, however good its bonus or odds are. A confirmed unpaid win removes a site from the ranking.

Does a high score mean betting is legal for me?

No. The score only compares bookmakers. Online betting is illegal in Bangladesh under the Gambling Prevention Act, 2026; always check the law where you live.
